1968 Chevrolet Corvette 427....

As a follow up to last weekend's '73 Corvette, here is a '68 Corvette from the the same show.

Now here's a question for the Corvette gurus...The '68 Corvettes supposedly did not have the Sting Ray name plate on the side, with a Stingray nameplate being first used on the '69 model. This car below, which is plated as a '68 model has the name plate..

Were any '68's released with the name plates, or just an owner mod? Thought I would just put it out there before I got hammered by the gurus. Just remember, these all are photographed at a car show!!
